Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. ground allspice 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 large egg 1 cup golden raisins 4 ounces chopped white chocolate
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and salt in a medium bowl and set aside. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy. Add molasses and egg and mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating on low speed just until blended. Stir in raisins. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 14 minutes until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute on pans. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely. Melt white chocolate in microwave or in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth. Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled cookies. Let stand about 20 minutes until chocolate is set.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
