Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/2 cup butter flavored solid vegetable shortening, softened 2 large eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted 1 cup quick cooking oats 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together shortening, eggs, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in melted semisweet chocolate. Stir in oats, flour and baking powder. Fold in white chocolate chips. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake cookies 7 to 9 minutes until edges are set. Cool cookies on pan 2 minutes. Transfer to a rack and cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
