Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 large eggs, separated 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. salt 1/4 cup melted butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup dark corn syrup 1 cup coarse chopped walnuts 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat yolks until light and fluffy. Add sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, butter, vanilla and corn syrup. Beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold 1/3 of whites into yolk mixture. Fold in remaining whites. Fold in 3/4 cup walnuts and scrape into pie shell. Sprinkle 1/4 cup walnuts over. Bake 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
Makes 1 pie.
