Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound venison cut into bite-size pieces all purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped onion 16 ounce can cooked red beans 16 ounce can refried beans 8 ounce can tomato sauce 16 ounces prepared picante sauce 1 tsp. dried red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 cup olive oil 1/8 tsp. white pepper 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. molasses
Directions
Dredge venison in flour to coat. Heat oil in a large pot. Add venison and onions and brown. Pour off excess oil. Add both beans, tomato sauce, picante sauce, pepper flakes, salt, garlic salt, white pepper, cayenne, chili powder and molasses and heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 60 to 90 minutes, stirring occasionally, until venison is tender and chili is thickened.
Serves 6.
