Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/4 cup peeled, chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms 4 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese 8 ounce can tomato sauce 1 small clove garlic, peeled and minced 1/2 tsp. crumbled dried oregano 1 3/4 cups buttermilk baking mix 3/4 cup water 1 large egg, beaten to blend 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the inside of a 9 inch round cake pan. Sprinkle the onion and green pepper over the bottom of the prepared pan. Layer the sliced mushrooms over the onion. Layer the pepperoni slices over the mushrooms. Sprinkle the Mozzarella evenly over the pepperoni. Stir together the tomato sauce, garlic and oregano in a small bowl. Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the Mozzarella. Stir together baking mix, water, egg and Parmesan in a medium bowl. Spoon the batter over the tomato sauce. Bake the pizza about 30 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Immediately invert the pizza onto a plate. Remove pan and let pizza cool 5 minutes before slicing into wedges and serving.
Serves 4 to 6.
