Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Crust: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup sugar 5 tbsp. melted butter
Filling: 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1 cup sugar 3 large eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla extract 2 cups sour cream
Directions
For Crust: Wrap the outside of a 9 inch springform pan tightly with foil. Stir together graham crumbs, sugar and melted butter in a medium bowl until evenly moistened. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Refrigerate crust while preparing filling.
For Filling: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat together cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Fold in sour cream until well blended. Pour the filling over the prepared crust. Place the cheesecake in a large baking pan. Add enough hot water to the baking pan to come halfway up the sides of the springform. Bake cheesecake about 45 to 60 minutes until set. Remove cheesecake from oven, remove foil, and refrigerate overnight.
Rub a warm, damp towel around the outside of the springform pan. Carefully remove pan sides. Slice cheesecake with a hot knife.
Serves 8 to 10.
