Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 cups lightly salted water 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced breadfruit, plantain and yucca(cassava) vegetable oil for frying salt or Jamaican Jerk seasoning
Directions
Bring salted water to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat. Add tropical fruit slices and boil 2 to 3 minutes. Drain fruit and pat dry. Fill a large skillet 2 inches deep with vegetable oil. Heat oil over medium-high heat until very hot. Add fruit slices and fry about 5 minutes until crisp and golden. Drain chips on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt or jerk seasoning. Serve chips at room temperature.
Serves 2 to 4.
