Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup softened butter 1 cup sugar 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 8 ounces milk chocolate chunks
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper. Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth. Remove chocolate from over water and cool until lukewarm. Sift together flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Stir in salt. Cream the butter in a large bowl. Gradually add both sugars and peanut butter. Beat 2 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture and milk chocolate chunks. Swirl the melted semisweet chocolate into the dough to create stripes. Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls, spacing 1 inch apart, onto the prepared pans. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until cookies are puffed and browned around edges. Cool cookies 3 minutes on pans. Transfer to racks and cool completely.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
