Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups finely shredded carrot
1 cup finely shredded daikon
1/2 cup finely shredded red radish
2 tbsp. nuoc nam or nam pla(fish sauce) or soy sauce
2 tbsp. lime juice
1/2 tsp. sesame oil
1/4 tsp. sugar
16 small butter lettuce leaves, washed and crisped
lime slices for garnish

Directions
Stir together carrot, daikon, radish, fish sauce, lime juice, oil and sugar. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Place lettuce leaves on a large platter. Using a slotted spoon place a scoop of vegetable mixture in each lettuce leaf. Garnish with lime slices.

Makes 6 to 8 main dish or appetizer portions.
