Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 8 ounces ground beef 1 envelope chili seasoning 16 ounce can Mexican style tomatoes, drained 15 ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Pizza Crust: 1 envelope active dry yeast 3/4 cup warm water(about 110 to 115 degrees) 2 1/4 cups dry biscuit mix 1/2 cup yellow corn meal 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions
For Topping: Brown ground beef in a large skillet, breaking up clumps. Drain fat from skillet. Stir in chili seasoning, tomatoes and kidney beans. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For Crust: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease a large sheet pan. Place warm water in a large bowl and sprinkle yeast over. Let stand 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in biscuit mix and corn meal. Mix until smooth. Turn dough out onto a floured surface. Knead about 25 times. Pat out dough onto the prepared pan. Spoon filling over and sprinkle with Cheddar. Bake pizza 15 to 20 minutes until crust is golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.
Serves 6 to 8.
