Texas Red Hots Hot Dogs Recipe Rating: N/A

Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
8 ounces ground beef
2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
16 ounce can chopped tomatoes with juices
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
8 split rolls
eight, cooked, 4 ounce hot dogs
4 ounces grated Cheddar cheese


Directions
Combine ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook about 10 minutes until onion is tender, stirring frequently. Drain fat from pan. Add tomatoes with juices, chili powder, sugar, salt and cumin. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Place a cooked hot dog on each roll. Cover hot dogs with sauce, sprinkle Cheddar over and serve.

Serves 8.
