Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 pounds ground beef 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. ground cumin 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tbsp. dried oregano two 14 ounce cans beef broth 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 15 ounce can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
Directions
Brown beef in a large pot. Drain fat from pan. Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, flour and oregano. Add both, salt and pepper and heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and heat through. Garnish with shredded cheese, crushed tortilla chips, sour cream, etc.
Makes about 5 cups chili.
