Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 4 pounds pork back ribs 1/2 cup apple juice 1/4 cup hoisin sauce 2 tbsp. dry sherry 2 tsp. ground ginger
Directions
Combine brown sugar, onion powder, salt, mustard, turmeric and cayenne in a small bowl. Rub spice mixture all over the ribs. Cover and refrigerate ribs 2 to 3 hours. Meanwhile, combine apple juice, hoisin sauce, sherry and ginger in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil. Remove pan from heat and set aside.
Preheat grill. Place ribs on the grill over medium heat. Cover and grill ribs 75 minutes. Brush ribs generously with sauce and grill an additional 15 minutes.
Serves 6.
