Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups whole unblanched almonds

Directions
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine sugar, oil, cayenne, garlic salt, chili powder and pepper flakes in a medium bowl. Add almonds and toss to coat. Spread in a single layer on a greased baking pan. Bake 30 minutes until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Cool completely on pan. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Makes about 2 cups snacks.
