Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/2 to 3 pounds pork spareribs 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper
Sauce: 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 3 tbsp. lemon juice 1 cup apricot preserves 1 1/2 tsp. molasses 1 1/2 tsp. dark corn syrup 1/2 tsp. ground ginger dash tabasco sauce 1/4 cup chili sauce 1 small clove garlic, peeled and smashed 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Directions
Preheat broiler. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Broil ribs 3 to 5 minutes per side. Transfer ribs to a 13x9 inch baking dish. Reduce oven to 350 degrees. Pour half of the sauce over ribs. Bake 30 minutes. Pour remaining sauce over ribs and bake an additional 30 minutes.
For Sauce: Mix together brown sugar, lemon juice, apricot preserves, molasses, corn syrup, ginger, tabasco, chili sauce, garlic, soy sauce and mustard in a medium saucepan. Cook, stirring, over medium-low heat until heated through.
Serves 4.
