Crescent Rolls: 4 ounces cream cheese, softened 4 tbsp. powdered sugar 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. finely grated orange peel 8 ounce package refrigerated crescent roll dough
Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted 2 tbsp. orange juice 2 tsp. ginely grated orange peel 1 tsp. melted butter 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
For Crescent Rolls: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large sheet pan with wax paper. Combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and orange peel in a medium bowl and beat until smooth. Unroll crescent dough and separate into individual triangles. Divide the cream cheese mixture over the triangles and spread evenly, leaving a 1/4 inch border all around. Roll up the dough triangles, starting from the long edge. Transfer the rolls to the prepared pan and form into crescent shapes. Bake about 15 minutes until lightly browned. Transfer rolls to a rack.
For Glaze: Stir together sugar, orange juice, orange peel, butter and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth. Spread the glaze over the top of the warm crescent rolls. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Makes 8 crescent rolls.
