Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup cold butter, diced 2 tsp. finely grated orange peel pinch salt
Filling: 2 1/2 pounds fresh plums, pitted and cut into wedges 4 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced into wedges 1/2 cup sugar 3 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice pinch salt
vanilla ice cream
Directions
For Topping: Combine flour, brown sugar, orange peel and salt in a food processor and pulse to blend. Add butter and cut in until moist clumps form. Transfer topping to a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate while preparing filling.
For Filling: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8x8 inch baking dish. Combine plum wedges, peach wedges, sugar, flour, lemon juice and salt in a large bowl. Toss gently to coat. Transfer filling to the prepared dish. Sprinkle the topping over the filling. Bake about 45 minutes until filling is hot and topping is crisp and browned. Cool crisp slightly before spooning into bowls. Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream if desired and serve immediately.
Serves 6.
