Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. plus 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup plus 1 tsp. granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup fresh blueberries 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat the inside of an 8x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon in a small bowl. Combine melted butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla in a medium bowl. Stir until well blended. Add flour mixture, blueberries and walnuts and mix well(batter will be stiff). Spread batter in the prepared dish. Stir together the remaining 1 tsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over batter. Bake 30 minutes. Transfer pan to a rack and cool completely. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 16 squares.
