Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pint fresh strawberries 1 envelope unflavored gelatin 1/2 cup sugar 2 large eggs, separated1/2 cup milk 8 ounces strawberry yogurt 1 tsp. lemon juice 4 drops red food coloring 1 prepared graham cracker pie crust
Directions
Puree 3/4 of strawberries, reserve remainder for garnish. Stir together gelatin and 1/4 cup sugar in a saucepan. Beat egg yolks with milk to blend and whisk into gelatin mixture. Let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved. Beat together strawberry puree, yogurt, lemon juice and food coloring. Beat in gelatin mixture. Chill, stirring occasionally, until mounds form on spoon. Beat egg whites to soft peaks. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff and shiny. Fold into gelatin mixture. Scrape into crust and refrigerate until firm. Garnish with strawberries and whipped cream if desired.
Makes 1 pie(about 8 portions).
