Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
5 cooked spicy smoked sausage links, cut into 1/2 inch cubes 1 1/2 cups peeled, diced russet potato 1 large onion, peeled and chopped 1 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary 1 1/4 cups green split peas, picked through and rinsed 4 cups chicken broth 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Cook sausage in a large pot until fat begins to seep out, about 4 minutes. Add potato, onion and rosemary and cook until onion is soft, about 5 minutes. add peas and broth. Heat to a simmer. Cover and simmer until peas are tender, stirring occasionally, about 50 to 60 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
Serves 4 to 6.
