French Toast:
3 tbsp. finely grated orange peel
2 cups orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. triple sec liqueur
6 large eggs
1/2 cup half and half
eight 1 inch thick slices Italian or French Bread
3 tbsp. melted butter

Sauce:
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. sweet orange marmalade
1 tbsp. triple sec liqueur

Directions
For French Toast:
Whisk together orange peel, orange juice, sugar, vanilla, triple sec, eggs and half and half in a large bowl. Place the bread slices in a single layer in a 13x9 inch baking dish. Pour the orange mixture over the bread. Turn bread slices over to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter a large sheet pan. Place soaked bread slices in a single layer on the prepared pan, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 10 minutes. Turn bread over and bake an additional 10 minutes until bread is puffed and golden.

For Sauce:
Combine butter, marmalade and triple sec in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until butter is melted.

Divide the French toast between plates. Drizzle sauce over toast and serve.

Serves 4.
