Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/4 pounds ground turkey 1 cup mild salsa, divided 1/2 cup peeled, minced red onion 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves 4 tbsp. vegetable oil, divided 1 tbsp. canned, minced chipotle chile in adobo 1 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 4 kaiser rolls or hamburger buns, split and toasted
Directions
Mix together turkey, 1/2 cup salsa, red onion, cilantro, 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, chipotle, cumin, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Form the turkey mixture into 4 patties. Heat remaining 1 tbsp. oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add turkey burgers and cook about 3 minutes per side until browned. Reduce heat to low and cook burgers about 4 minutes until cooked through, turning occasionally. Place turkey burgers on bottom bun halves. Top each burger with 2 tbsp. of the remaining salsa. Top with remaining bun halves and serve.
Makes 4 turkey burgers.
