Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 ounce can diced green chiles 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves 15 ounce can pumpkin puree 14 ounces chicken broth 1/2 cup water 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions
Combine chiles, sour cream and cilantro in a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Stir together pumpkin, broth, water, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder and cayenne in a medium saucepan. Add 1/4 cup chile mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Portion soup into bowls. Place a dollop of chile mixture on top of soup and swirl with the tip of a knife. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
