Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2/3 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup kosher salt 1/4 cup chili powder 1/4 cup black pepper 1 tbsp. ground cumin 2 tsp. ground coriander 1 tsp. ground cloves 9 cloves garlic, pressed 8 boneless rib-eye steaks, about 16 ounces each 3/4 cup corn oil
Directions
Stir together sugar, salt, chili powder, pepper, cumin and coriander in a bowl. Mash in garlic with a fork. Take 3 tbsp. spice mixture and rub into both sides of 1 steak. Repeat with remaining spice mixture and steaks. Place steaks in a large glass baking dish and drizzle oil over. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Prepare grill. Grill steaks to desired doneness, basting frequently with leftover marinade.
Serves 8.
