Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup buttermilk 1 tbsp. tabasco sauce 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2 inch wide strips 4 cups vegetable oil for frying 1 cup all purpose flour 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes 1 tsp. dry oregano 1 tsp. dried thyme
Directions
Stir together buttermilk and tabasco in a large bowl. Add chicken strips and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat oil to 360 degrees in a fryer or deep large skillet. Stir together flour, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano and thyme in a shallow bowl. Dredge chicken in flour mixture and fry until golden, about 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels before serving.
Serves 4.
