Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups sugar 3/4 cup water 4 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed 1 tsp. grated nutmeg 1/2 tsp. crushed cardamom pods 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
Directions
Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to medium high and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir in the cranberries, nutmeg, cardamom and allspice. Cook about 10 minutes until the cranberries pop, stirring occasionally. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Makes about 4 cups.
