Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 pounds coarse ground beef chuck 1 1/2 pounds pork shoulder, cut into cubes 1 large onion, peeled and chopped 3 large cloves garlic, peeled and minced 3 cups beer 1 cup canned chopped tomatoes 1 cup canned tomato sauce 1 large jalapeno chili, stemmed, seeded and minced 1/2 cup chili powder 1 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. ground cumin 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions
Combine beef, pork, onion and garlic in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned. Stir in beer, chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, jalapeno, chili powder, salt, cumin and paprika. Reduce heat, cover and simmer chili 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Skim grease from top of chili before serving. Serve hot.
Serves 6 to 8.
