Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound venison, cut into bite size pieces 1 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 16 ounce can red kidney beans, drained 16 ounce can refried beans 8 ounce can tomato sauce 16 ounce jar hot or mild picante sauce 1 tsp. dried red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic salt 1/8 tsp. white pepper 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. unsulfured molasses
Directions
Place flour in a large bowl. Add venison and toss to coat. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat. Add venison and onions and cook, stirring frequently, until meat is browned. Pour off excess oil. Stir in kidney beans, refried beans, tomato sauce, picante sauce, red pepper flakes, salt, garlic salt, white pepper, cayenne, chili powder and molasses. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 60 to 90 minutes until venison is very tender, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
Serves 6.
