Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Crust: 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs 3 tbsp. sugar 3 tbsp. melted butter
Brownie: 1/2 cup butter, room temperature 2 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate 1 cup sugar 2 large eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup all purpose flour 3 ounces chopped milk chocolate
Topping: 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
Directions
For Crust: Line the inside of an 8 inch square baking pan with foil. Stir together graham crumbs, sugar and butter in a medium bowl until evenly moistened. Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Refrigerate crust while preparing brownie layer.
For Brownie: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt together butter and unsweetened chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove pan from the heat and whisk in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour until just combined. Spread the brownie batter evenly over the prepared crust. Bake brownies about 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Sprinkle the chopped milk chocolate over the hot brownies and let stand 5 minutes. Spread melted milk chocolate over the brownies.
For Topping: Preheat broiler. Sprinkle the marshmallows evenly over the warm brownies. Broil brownies 5 inches from the heat for about 30 to 60 seconds until marshmallows are golden brown. Transfer brownies to a rack and cool completely.
Remove the brownies from the pan, using the foil as an aid. Cut the brownies into bars with an oiled knife to keep marshmallows from sticking.
Makes about 1 dozen brownies.
