Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
15 ounce can baked beans 15 ounce can black beans, drained 1 cup diced red bell pepper 1 cup smoked, diced bacon 1 cup diced onion 1/2 cup diced celery 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh garlic 1 pound thickly sliced smoked sausage links 1 tsp. dried oregano 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat the inside of a large baking dish with cooking spray. Stir together baked beans, black beans and bell pepper in a large bowl. Cook bacon in a large pot over medium high heat until just crisp. Add onion, celery and garlic and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir bacon mixture, sliced sausage, oregano and cayenne into the beans. Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish. Bake 1 hour. Serve hot.
Serves 4 to 6.
