Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
four 9 to 10 ounce beef chuck steaks
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp. olive oil
4 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup chopped onion
8 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
16 ounce can stewed tomatoes
8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce

Directions
Place flour in a large plate or pie pan. Dredge steaks in flour to coat, shaking off excess. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add beef and garlic. Brown beef about 2 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper. Reserve steaks. Add onion, mushroom and bell pepper to skillet and cook until softened, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Stir in stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and Worcestershire. Bring to a boil. Return steaks to skillet. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until steaks are tender, about 60 minutes.

Serves 4.
