Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 pork chops, about 1/2 inch thick 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 3/4 cup water, divided 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce 1/4 cup ketchup 4 tsp. brown sugar 4 tsp. cornstarch
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add pork chops and brown on both sides. Drain fat from skillet. Stir together 1/2 cup water, teriyaki sauce, ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl. Pour teriyaki mixture over pork. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Turn chops over and cook an additional 30 minutes. Transfer pork chops to a plate. Stir together cornstarch and remaining 1/4 cup water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir cornstarch mixture into skillet. Cook, stirring, until sauce is boiling and thickened. Return pork chops to skillet and turn to coat with sauce. Simmer pork until heated through. Serve immediately.
Serves 6.
