16 ounce package uncooked fettucine or linguine noodles 1/3 cup finely diced onion 1/3 cup finely diced green bell pepper 1/3 cup finely diced celery 3 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 1/4 cups warm milk 1/3 cup finely diced pimiento 1 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. white pepper 1 1/2 cups flaked crabmeat
Directions
Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onion and cook until transparent, about 5 to 8 minutes. Add bell pepper and celery and cook 3 minutes. Sprinkle with flour and cook 1 minute, stirring. Gradually stir in milk and cook, stirring, until sauce is smooth and thickened. Stir in pimiento, lemon juice, worcestershire, salt and white pepper. Stir in crabmeat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. While sauce is simmering cook pasta in boiling water until just done. Drain pasta well. Divide pasta between plates and spoon sauce over.
