Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/2 cup diced salt pork or bacon 2 cups sliced fresh okra 2 cups fresh corn kernels 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions
Cook salt pork or bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crisp. Spoon meat pieces from pan and drain on paper towels. Add okra and cook, stirring frequently, 10 minutes. Stir in corn kernels and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in salt, pepper and reserved salt pork or bacon bits. Serve immediately.
Serves 6.
