1/2 cup chilled butterscotch chips
1 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup plus 6 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. Irish whiskey
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place butterscotch chips in a food processor and chop finely. Cream together butter and 6 tbsp. powdered sugar in a large bowl. Blend in Irish whiskey. Stir in flour, walnuts, pecans and chopped butterscotch chips. Roll the dough into 1 inch diameter balls. Place the dough balls on an ungreased sheet pan. Bake about 12 to 15 minutes until light brown. Transfer pan to a rack and cool completely. Sift the remaining 1/2 cup powdered sugar into a small bowl. Roll the whiskey balls in the powdered sugar to coat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Makes about 4 dozen.
