Crust:
1/2 cup butter
2 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped almonds
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Filling:
6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 large egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped almonds
6 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups mini marshmallows

Topping:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
2 ounces cream cheese
1 ounce chopped unsweetened chocolate
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
For Crust:
Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish. Combine chocolate and butter in a small saucepan. Melt over low heat and stir until smooth. Stir together sugar, flour, almonds and baking powder in a medium bowl. Stir in melted chocolate mixture and vanilla until a crumbly dough forms. Press crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.

For the Filling:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together cream cheese, sugar, butter, flour, egg and vanilla in a large bowl until fluffy. Stir in almonds. Spread the filling evenly over the prepared crust. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the filling. Bake about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Sprinkle marshmallows over bars and bake an additional 2 minutes.

For Topping:
Combine butter, milk, cream cheese and chocolate in a large saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Pour the topping over the bars and swirl with the tip of a knife. Transfer dish to a rack and cool until topping is set. Cut into bars.

Makes about 2 dozen bars.
