Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
24 ounces frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed 1 cup sugar 4 cups red Bordeaux wine 1/2 cup Armagnac
Directions
Toss berries with sugar in a large nonaluminum saucepan. Cover and let stand 2 hours at room temperature. Add wine and heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove pan from heat. Cover and let stand overnight. Line a strainer with a double layer of dampened cheesecloth. Strain wine through cheesecloth. Stir in Armagnac. Pour mixture into a large bottle. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Serve cold.
Makes about 5 to 6 cups wine.
