Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
24 ounces frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed 1 cup sugar 4 cups red Bordeaux wine 1/2 cup Armagnac
Directions
Toss berries with sugar in a large saucepan. Cover and let stand 2 hours. Add wine and heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand overnight. Line a strainer with a double thickness of cheesecloth. Strain wine through. Stir in Armagnac. Pour mixture into a large bottle or glass container. Cover and refrigerate until cold. Can be made up to 30 days ahead of time. Serve cold.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups.
