2 cube steaks, about 6 ounces each 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 large onion, peeled and thinly sliced 1/2 tsp. finely grated orange peel 1 medium clove garlic, peeled and minced 1/3 cup beef broth 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
Directions
Season both sides of steaks with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add steaks and cook about 3 minutes per side until browned. Transfer steaks to a plate and tent with foil. Add onion to skillet and reduce heat to medium. Cook onion, stirring frequently, about 8 minutes until tender. Add grated orange peel and garlic and cook, stirring, 30 seconds. Return steaks to skillet and add broth and soy sauce. Simmer about 5 minutes until steaks are tender. Serve immediately.
