Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2/3 cup canned tomatoes, drained and finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed 2 tbsp. unsalted butter 3 tbsp. dry white wine 1 tbsp. cornstarch 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese French bread cubes fresh vegetables
Directions
Combine tomatoes, garlic and butter in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium low heat, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes until most of liquid is evaporated. Stir together wine and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Stir cornstarch mixture into tomatoes. Simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove garlic and discard. Add Cheddar in 3 additions, stirring until melted after each addition. Transfer to a fondue pot and set over a flame. Serve with French bread cubes and vegetables.
Serves 4 to 6.
