Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 pounds fresh or frozen, thawed white fish fillets, about 1 1/2 inches thick 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 6 tbsp. butter 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped 3 cups soft fresh breadcrumbs 1 cup grated cheddar cheese 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x12 inch glass baking dish. Place fish fillets in prepared dish and season with salt and pepper. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onion and cook about 5 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally. Add breadcrumbs, cheddar, parsley and mustard and mix well. Spread onion mixture over top of fish. Bake about 20 to 25 minutes until fish is flaky and topping is golden brown.
Serves 4 to 6.
