Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups half and half 1/2 tsp. crumbled dried basil 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1 1/4 cups grated Provolone cheese 1 1/4 cups grated Mozzarella cheese 1 1/4 cups grated Swiss cheese 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 2 large egg yolks 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 8 ounces dry ziti pasta, cooked, drained and cooled
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 2 quart casserole dish. Combine half and half, basil and red pepper flakes in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Add cheeses gradually, stirring after each addition, until cheeses are melted and sauce is smooth. Remove sauce from heat and stir in yolks, salt and pepper. Add cooked ziti and stir to combine. Transfer mixture to prepared dish and bake about 10 minutes until heated through.
Serves 4.
