Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 tbsp. butter, room temperature 1 large russet potato, very thinly sliced 1 cup thinly sliced onion 1 1/2 tsp. all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 cup milk
Directions
Spread half of the butter in the bottom of a medium nonstick skillet. Layer half of the potato slices over the butter. Sprinkle potatoes with half of the onions. Sprinkle half of the flour over onions. Dot the remaining butter over flour. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with remaining potato slices, onion and flour. Pour milk over potatoes. Heat to a simmer over high heat. Reduce heat, cover skillet and simmer potatoes about 10 minutes until potatoes are tender. Uncover and simmer an additional 5 minutes until sauce is thickened. Serve immediately.
Serves 2.
