Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/2 cup water 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 3 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 pound round steak, sliced into 1/8 inch strips 2 medium green bell peppers, stemmed, seeded and cut into 1 inch long strips cooked rice
Directions
Stir together water and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Stir in soy sauce and sugar. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add meat and brown on both sides, about 10 minutes. Add cornstarch mixture to skillet and stir until thickened. Add bell peppers. Cover and cook until peppers are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
Serves 4 to 6.
