Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 sheets frozen, thawed puff pastry 2 large Bosc pears, peeled, cored and halved 2 tbsp. melted butter 4 tbsp. brown sugar 4 pinches ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out each pastry sheet to 1/8 inch thick. Cut two 6 inch rounds from each sheet. Place pastry rounds on a large baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart. Thinly slice each pear half lengthwise. Fan a pear half in the middle of each pastry round. Brush pears with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake tarts about 20 to 25 minutes until pears are tender and pastry is golden. Serves tarts immediately with ice cream if desired.
Makes 4 tarts.
