Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice 3/4 cup chopped onion 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. white pepper 1 tbsp. butter 1 3/4 cups chicken broth 8.5 ounce can peas and carrots, drained
Directions
Combine the rice, onion, garlic powder, pepper and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and cover the pan. Simmer the rice 15 minutes. Stir in the peas and carrots and simmer 5 minutes until the rice is cooked through. Serve pilaf immediately.
Serves 4.
