Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. olive oil 1 cup canned chunky italian tomato sauce 1 cup chopped cooked ham 2 cloves garlic, minced 4 cups chicken broth, divided 15 ounce can garbanzo beans, drained, divided 4 ounces fettucine, broken into thirds 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
Heat oil in a medium saucepan. Add tomato sauce, ham and garlic and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in 3 cups broth. Combine remaining 1 cup broth with 1 cup beans in a blender. Puree until smooth. Stir into soup. Stir in remaining beans and heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Add pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Divide into bowls and garnish with parmesan.
Serves 4 to 6.
