Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
two 12 ounce cans whole kernel white corn, drained 3 tbsp. butter 1 small onion, peeled and chopped 3 tbsp. all purpose flour 2 cups milk 1 cup half & half 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions
Puree corn in a blender 1 minute. Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add flour and cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Whisk in milk and half & half. Stir in pureed corn, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Serve immediately.
Serves 4 to 6.
