Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
8 ounces uncooked spaghetti 1 pound lean ground beef 1/2 cup minced onion 14 ounce can diced tomatoes with juices 15 ounce can kidney or pinto beans, rinsed 8 ounce can tomato sauce 2 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until just done. Drain well. Meanwhile, brown beef with onion in a large saucepan, breaking up clumps of meat. Drain fat and stir in tomatoes with juices, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. Cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened. Divide pasta between plates and top with sauce. Sprinkle with cheddar and serve immediately.
Serves 4.
