Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cube steaks, 6 to 8 ounces each 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 large onion, peeled and thinly sliced 1/2 tsp. finely grated orange peel 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced 1/3 cup beef broth 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
Directions
Season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add steaks and brown on both sides. Transfer steaks to a plate. Add onion to skillet and cook until softened, about 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in orange peel and garlic. Cook 30 seconds. Add broth and soy sauce and heat to a simmer. Return steaks to pan and simmer until tender, about 5 minutes. Transfer steaks to plates and spoon sauce over.
Serves 2.
